Today marks the start of Hillsborough's annual Red Ribbon Campaign, the oldest and largest substance abuse prevention program in the nation. The goal of this program is for everyone to unite and take a visible stand against substance abuse and promote all dimensions of wellness in our community. There will be a daily trivia question, along with some awareness activities in the cafeteria. Today's trivia question is: According to a recent study, what behavior is linked to a higher risk of COVID-19 among teenagers and young adults? To answer the question, go to the Trivia Contest link on the HMS Website. Five winners will be announced tomorrow and will each receive a Dunkin Donuts gift card!

Attention Gamers! The Video Game Club will have an interest meeting TOMORROW at 7:45 AM in room A4. Everyone is welcome to come check out the club! See Mrs. Weber for more information.

Your new student ID cards have arrived and will be distributed by your homeroom teachers this week. It is important that you keep this card with you when at school. The barcode on your ID will be used for checking materials out of the library as well as for making purchases at lunch in the cafeteria. You may have noticed that snacks are once again available for purchase in the cafe, and starting next week, additional menu items will be made available for purchase beyond the free items. Remind parents to put money on your Mealtime account online or by dropping off a check to the office or directly to the lunch service staff in the cafeteria. You can then charge purchases to your account using your student ID. It's quick & easy.

In keeping with our theme of respect here at HMS, we want to remember and care for our school property, including the statues that are proudly displayed outside the main building. Please respect and admire this artwork, as it should be looked at and nothing more.
