District Financial Stability

Long-term financial stability

Recently, the state of New Jersey announced they will reduce state aid to Hillsborough Township Schools by $5.3 million dollars over the next six years.

In addition, the district is restricted to a 2% tax cap while costs outside of the district’s control continue to exceed this limit.
By address this fiscal need, Hillsborough Schools will ensure its long term financial stability. The district will be able to maintain current programming and class sizes, provide student courtesy busing, and continue athletic opportunities without pay-to-play fees.
